In Trstenik a special memorial was held on October 28th
In Trstenik a special memorial was held on October 28th, by which people payed respect to Radoje Raka Ljutovac, a Serbian hero who was the first person in the world to shoot down and enemy aircraft thus saving lives of countless people. The memorial was held near a monument which was erected on the parcel which Raka Ljutovac gifted the town and on which the court house was built. Representatives from the Serbian army, the Municipality of Trstenik, fighter association, Ljutovac Family members and from other institutions and associations. There was also the cultural manifestation in which a respected drama artist Momir Bradic participated in, as well as the students from the “Vuk Karadzic” grammar school and representatives from the “Tradicija” Cultural-artistic society from Trstenik. All meant for us the remember the this event from 103 years ago.
